Rowenta Instant Comfort Aqua Fan Heater Stops Working

Image
The Rowenta Instant Comfort Fan Heater is a wonderful heater for the bathroom. It has a plastic cover over the buttons to keep it dry while you are taking a shower. But a few weeks ago it stoped for no reason after only about five minutes working.  At first I thought that it was some kind of security system which started when the air is too humid and I tried to start it up over and over but it did not work. The Rowenta Instant Comfort Aqua I could say that I was ready to buy a new fan heater for the bathroom for showers in winter need some heat for sure. But I though that I would give it a try to repair it so I decided to open it and use the vacuum cleaner to clean it. The heater has two Phillips screws and two torks screws in the back. The heater opened You can see all that dirt inside, so I cleaned as much as I could. And I put a special attention to the thermostat part, it was really dirty and dusty at that precise spot. I cleaned it and also squeezed together the two diodes contac

Restore a Swiza D03 Pocket Knife

Image
I recently bought a second hand Swiza D03 pocket knife to clean it and repair it. The knife was in a shameful state, dirty and with the blade badly deformed because of very bad sharpening. I paid 7 euros for it and I wanted to restore it with simple tools. All I have used is a small file and sand paper 600, 1500 and at the end 2000 grit, along with four hours of work. The Swiza D03 to restore The blade was in a poor state. As you can see in the picture the tip of the reamer was also broken. The first thing I did was to take the scales apart. To do so, I used my Victorinox pocket knife Camper can opening tool, so here you have a Victorinox repairing a Swiza pocket knife. I washed it with a brush in hot water and soap and then disinfected the thing with bleach. Then I rinsed it throughly very well. The Swiza D03 with the scales off and tweezers. I had to reshape the reamer with a file to give it the minimum operation state, which I did. Then I reshaped the tip of the blade with the file

Squire Strat guitar lower and level frets

I have got my new pack with the Squire Fender Stratocaster electric guitar and the 10G amplifier. I found this guitar fantastic for the price I have paid, about 100 euros along with a bag, a strap and the cable. For such a cheap instrument one can expect to find things to improve, like the neck of the guitar which was hard to play with because the height of the frets. So I decided to loose the strings and lower the frets with 600 grits sand paper. Well I started with 600 grits paper sticked to a wooden box to make it flat, but the procedure was too slow, so I changed to 280 grits first. I went over and over the frets to remove material until I thought they would be more comfortable to play. But this is a delicate thing because if frets are too low or not well leveled then your guitar may sound buzzing or out of tune. Once the frets were low enough I leveled them by putting a cutter blade on the first three frets, then moved the blade up and down always touching the middle fret. If I he
